Since 2009, the charcoal medium has had me in its clutches.
And trust me, I have tried dabbing with color over the years – watercolors, pastels, acrylics, collages – you name it. But I’ve come to find that it;s the still and timeless nature of black & white that brings me a deep sense of calm, and keeps me coming back for more.
I source my inspiration from the world around me. Vague, I know, but this also means I rarely run out of ideas 🙂 From pet portraits and Renaissance marble statues, to abstracted natural forms, my creations simply flow with the rhythms of my visceral excitement.
When I’m not at the easel, you can find me striding on my rollerblades, contemplating life’s paradoxes, and cackling with friends over delicious homemade food.
It’s my hope that by sharing more of what I love, I will inspire others to do the same.
